This Silver Denarius was issued during the reign of Emperor Gordian III (A.D. 238-244). The obverse features a right facing bust of Gordian III and the words "IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG". The reverse shows Laetitia standing with the words "LAETITIA AVG N". This coin features the legend intact and a good portrait. Sear 8675. NB Approximately 21mm & 3.6g. These deeply detailed examples have been graded Almost Uncirculated by NGC. What a find!
