This small silver Groschen was issued by the principality of Lippe-Detmold, which is located in the modern German state of Westphalia. Struck during the reign of Prince Paul Freidrich Emil Leopold III (they almost couldn't fit his name on the coin!), it contains .0155 of an ounce of silver. The obverse has a bust of the prince facing right. The value and date are on the reverse. Coins from this old German state are not often available, so get this one while you can. KM#
