One of the most beautiful and famous pieces of currency that the United States ever printed was the Series 1896 $1.00 Silver Certificate (a.k.a. Educational note). It depicts "History Instructing Youth" at center. On the right is the Constitution and in the background is the Washington Monument and the US Capitol. Around the borders are the names of famous Americans in wreaths.
The reverse depicts portraits of George and Martha Washington. Good color on a popular and desirable note. Tillman/Morgan signatures--Friedberg#224. This note is in Fine condition.
