Roman Billon coin of the Emperor Aurelian!
Born of humble parents, Aurelian went on to become a great general and finally Emperor from A.D. 270 - 275. Suprisingly, he can be considered the father of Christmas! Aurelian established December 25 as the Festival of Sol, the Sun God, in A.D. 275. The Christians later adopted this date for Christmas so that their celebration would not be detected.
This coin measures 20mm in diameter. It comes in a deluxe folder with a brief history and a certificate of authenticy. It is in Fine condition.

This would be a great present for all those interested in the origins of Christmas. Of course the coin is old and very worn but it still would make a great gift. I bought several myself!
