Beautiful Coin, Excellent Detail

By  Davie Boy

from CA

My first foreign gold coin. I bought it as it was priced well over spot. I am not disappointed - it is a great looking coin that must be better than an XF grade as the details are very clear. Looking to add more of these to my collection soon.

Nice Coin

By  Eric

from North Yorkshire, Great Britain

I have been a fractional investor, buying what I can, when I have the funds to do so. The majority of the coins I have invested in are British Sovereigns. Sovereigns come in at .2354. I was looking for something different and decided to purchase a couple of these coins that have .1867 gold. I received one dated 1856, and another dated 1866. The former coin's reverse is a bit worn, the 1866 coin, however, is in great condition. It's nice to have a different weight of coin in my portfolio.

Nice example of craftsmanship

By  Ron, Silver Fanatic

from San Jose, CA

Decided to add to my "franc" list. Have a Swiss and another French (Angel) and the price over spot makes these a reasonable franctional gold investment. Showed it (Napoleon) to the wife and she commented it didn't look a thing like the guy (Bonaparte). A little bit worn on the reverse, but still an XF example of a coin minted in 1858. Wish I look that good when I am 150 years old.

Surprised at the excellent condition of this beautiful old coin. Like apmex reached back in time and plucked it from the year it was minted.

Dates were 1854, 1860, 1861, and 1864 and showed very little wear.As a coin collector who is also interested in bullion and numismatics, they were most satisfactory.
