Product Description

To comemmorate the centennial of the great earthquake that ravaged San Francisco in 1906, the U.S. Mint stuck a $5.00 gold coin with the same specifications as our circulating gold half eagles ($5.00) up until 1929. The AGW= 0.2419 of an ounce. The obverse features the front of the old U.S. branch mint in San Francisco, that was the only building that survived the quake. The reverse has a likeness of the Liberty Head half eagle that was used up until 1907. This coin has been graded a perfect Proof 70 Ultra Cameo by NGC.

Since we may have more than one of these coin(s) in stock, you should use this stock photograph as an indicator of the quality of the coin(s) you will receive.
