Comments about 2009 1 oz Silver Canadian Olympic Thunderbird Totem BU:

The MS70 2012 Kangaroo and the MS69 2014 were flawless. However, I also purchased (2) 2009 1 oz Silver Canadian Olympic Thunderbird Totem (BU) coins. One of them was slightly toned which doesn't bother me, but it also had several nice nicks on the obverse rim. This coin is scruffy, and not problem-free! I am somewhat irritated to say the least. That's not BU.

What a lovely, unique coin. I do admire the quality of the Royal Canadian Mint coins and this one is my favorite. I'm not sure whether the limited mintage of 569,048 will make them sought after in the future, but the design probably will.

I purchased this coin because it is a beautiful commemorative Canadian Maple Leaf coin which depicts the powerful Thunderbird design found on many totem poles in Canada. If you like commemoratives, this should be part of your collection.

Bought a whole tube + 1 for showing off. With only three years of issue, they were easier to collect the whole set. I think 2008 was the best design, though.

I purchased 20 silver 2009 Vancouver Olympic coins thinking it was an even roll, only to find that the Canada tubes are meant to hold 25 coins. Nevertheless, The coins were stunning and appeared flawless. Shipping was UPS and very discrete. I love the Canada silver Maple for it's purity and low premium over spot. I love this particular issued strike because of it's beautiful first nation designed motif. This unique commemorative is destined to become a good collectable over time in my opinion, but ultimately it's the pure silver I'm investing in.

This coin is very attractive if you get one in your hand. I picked up a couple tubes before they got scarce. I'm sorry I didn't get more. I think I paid around $15 per coin for what I have.
