Rarely seen French gold from the mid 19th century. These Ceres Head 20 Francs were minted for just 2 years (1850-1851). Contains .1867 oz of pure gold! A profile of Ceres, goddess of agriculture, appears on the obverse of this short lived design. The enwreathed denomination appears on the reverse. Produced for just 2 years, this type is not encountered very often. Dates (1850-1851) are of our choice and are limited to stock on hand. Listed in Krause as KM#762.
