The first anniversary of David Ben-Gurion’s death was honored with this coin. The obverse depicts a portrait of Ben-Gurion in the top right of the coin. At the bottom of the coin is the emblem of the State of Israel and the inscriptions "David Ben-Gurion" and "1886-1973" in Hebrew and English.
The reverse depicts the State emblem, appearing in the center of the coin. Around the top rim is the inscription "500 Lirot” in Hebrew. Below the State emblem, "Israel" is in English and Arabic, with the date, "1974" and "5734" in Hebrew. Listed in Krause as KM#82.
