1944-1945 Philippines Silver 20 Centavos Avg Circ (Random Dates)

This is an unusual coin, as it was minted by the United States for use in the U.S. Philippines. The obverse shows Lady Liberty striking an anvil with a hammer while holding an olive branch in her other hand. In the background is Mount Mayon, an active volcano in the Philippines, with smoke billowing from its crater. The reverse features an eagle perched on a crest; the design of the crest may vary depending on date. Surrounding the eagle are the words “United State of America,” along with the date of issue.
