As a history major and a history nerd, this coin is awsome. It is grades VF and the strike is very clean and crisp. Now for the history nerd part,. Who held this coin? Did some soldier get paid for his service with this silver? Did someone use it to feed their family? Was it ever part of a theft so someone can buy food or shelter? Did this coin help buy someone's freedom? These are the questions that make old coins so cool to me.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
