Exactly as Expected

By  Silver hoarder in LA

Love the Walking Liberty's classic design. So I decided to pick some up while they are relatively cheap, 15x face. I'm not picky over condition as I buy just to have the junk silver. These came pretty much as expected, some a little more worn on the edges than others, possibly bordering on cull, but all dates are still visible. Had a pleasant surprise, received 1 coin that is practically AU grade. Definitely recommend and will buy again.

poor condition

I have ordered from apmex for four or more years and have never had a complaint, but someone dropped the ball on these half dollars.I understand that these were stated as average circulated but out of the roll of twenty eleven of them I would classify as culls.several of those eleven had unrecognizable dates.

These coins are beautiful. A bit of history. Also a tip of the hat to the folks that package these coins so well.

Replacement coins received...very nice.

The replacement coins were at least in fine to very fine condition, several in the 1930's with sharp details and mint marks. Came in a ziplock rather than a paper roll. Very pleased with them.

First time APMEX disappointment....

  • Recognized Brand

  • Poor Condition

I bought this product because I had earlier ordered "cull" coins and got dateless Walking Liberty half dollars. Since I like that design, I wanted some better examples. What I received was 16 Walkers from the 1940's, average condition, 1 from the 1930's, 1 from the 1920's, both "about good" and two slicks with no dates. Bummer since one had the "S" mintmark on the obverse, had it been a dated 1916 all would have been forgiven. I have never rejected a shipment before, but there is a first time for everything. Deeply disappointed. What was great about it? Delivery on time. That's about it.

Happy with these coins

Figured I would pick up some junk silver to diversify my stack and take advantage of the free shipping promotion. Order came in a nice tight roll of 20, nice mixture of dates and the coins are in average condition. Glad I ordered from APMEX, they are a very trusted seller.

Very pleased

My Walking Liberty half dollar collection declined after selling during silver's peak. I bought these to revive the collection and was very pleasantly surprised! They came in better condition than expected with a wide array of dates with some semi-key dates included. Majority of the purchase was teens through 1920's, Nice to have if you're filling an album or collection. Average of three 1940's per roll. I'm buying these again and will continue to give business to APMEX. As a Lib Lover, this was a great purchase.

decent deal

  • Value (low premium over spot)

  • Poor Condition

Honestly, I would describe these coins as below average circulation. Very few that were not extremely worn down. I'm in it for the silver, but still...

Almost all 1917 & 1918 same mint marks

  • Attractive Design
  • Value (low premium over spot)

  • Poor Condition

Bought the coins to fill coin book, however, the dates were almost the same so not too helpful. The coins were pretty worn, but I did get a couple coins I could use.
