Comments about $10 Franklin Halves - 90% Silver 20-Coin Roll (Avg. Circ.):

While not my favorite half dollar design (OK, it's probably me least favorite design) the price was good so I ordered a roll. There was a nice variety of dates with no problem coins (damaged, cleaned, etc.). Grade was roughly F for the earlier years up to high AU for some of the 1960s dated coins. Dates broke down as 45, 49, 51x5, 52, 53, 54x3, 56, 59, 60, 62x3, 63x2.

        Service and delivery comments:

As always shipping was extremely fast (2 business days) and packaging was bomb-proof. APMEX always come through in that regard.

Probably should have gone for the next level up from "avg.circ." But it is just junk silver and not a numismatic coin! My favorite silver US non-numis coin. Love old Ben. he should still be on this piece. of course, it is probably fitting he's off now since the silver is gone now!

Awesome coins. These were all in great shape for being 50+ years old.
I love these because they are full recognized by ANYONE that knows coins as being 90% silver for every production year.
I have never purchased the pre-63 dimes and quarters because most folks , have no idea they are actually silver.
Everyone knows that these are rare when you pull one out. Perfect bartering coin after the dollar collapses.
And a great price for average circulation. Silver is $20/ounce today and a 20 coin tube of franklins are worth $144 just in flat melt weight.

I bought these since being 58, I remembered holding these as real money, something you would get for mowing a lawn in the heat of summer, and the coin itself was very attractive. Plus, I had hoped that either a 1955 or 1956 would be included in the mix of 40 coins (my birthdate as well as the wife's). Oh well, next time. And there will be!

                  Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was in three days! Well packaged with the other goodies I ordered. Took me longer to open the bloody packaging than it did to order...kudos for their packaging folks.

We're slowly accumulating silver coins as a hedge against inflation and you can't go wrong with these. Low over spot cost and easily recognized anywhere. I'll be buying more in the future.
