This gold Solidus was struck during the reign of Emperor Theodosius II (402 - 450 AD). Commonly referred to as Theodosius the Younger, he reigned with the help of a regent and on his own for over 48 years making him one of the longest to sit on (or share) the throne. Obverse: Helmeted head bust right holding spear and shield.
Reverse: Constantinopolis enthroned. CONOB in ex.
