Comments about 1/10 oz Platinum American Eagle (Random Year):

This coin gives budget stackers or collectors the opportunity to own platinum at a low price. I love U.S. Platinum Eagles (I hope to obtain an full 1oz someday), and I feel being on a budget this is one coin I can stack. My only con with it is that APMEX charges a high premium for platinum coins including this 1/10 oz coin. Seeing how as of writing this review today the price of Gold is more than Platinum. So it would be nice to see the price reflect that. Other than that, I do hope to obtain at least two more of these coins this year. A+

Precious metal doesn't go away. Value is stable its the currency that changes value. In other words. The USD fluctuates in its FIAT existence, precious metal always holds it value.

I ordered one of these coins with a random year and I was happily surprised when Apmex sent me a 1997! It is a beautiful coin that is the same size as an 1/10 American gold eagle. It came in mint condition inside a clear plastic flip that was enclosed in a discreet box. I plan on buying more of these coins in the future!

Many people (like me) prefer the smaller weight coins for their affordability and divisibility. But why the Platinum Eagles rather than cheaper platinum rounds or bars? Simple . . . when it comes time to sell, I want to make it easy for my buyer. There may not always be a platinum test kit handy, but a superb quality Platinum Eagle can be commonly recognized and usually accepted with just visual inspection.
