Final release of the Great Warriors four-coin Series.
The Samurai were members of the military elite. Bushido, meaning "the way of the warrior," was the strict code they lived by. A beautifully colored Samurai graces the reverse of this Silver coin, design by Wade Robinson. The Raphael Maklouf likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. This coin comes to you enclosed in a case with a numbered CoA.
The Samurai are famous for their honor and absolute obedience, in particular, the act of seppuku (harakiri) which is a kind for ritual suicide by disembowelment.
The design shows a samurai in full armor. The armor was only worn by the highest military class and emperors. Japanese samurai armor and samurai swords were both powerful and unique works of art made by master craftsman. Each suit of Japanese armor (kikou), Japanese helmet (kabuto) and Japanese sword (katana) truly has a soul or chi.
