Population of only 235!
This Silver half dollar was issued on the 250th anniversary of George Washington's birth. It was at the time the first commemorative coin struck by the U.S. Mint in almost 30 years, and it marks the beginning of the modern commemorative coin era. After grading more that 12,000 coins, this is one of only 199 coins graded a perfect Proof 70 Deep Cameo by PCGS.

The obverse of this 90% Silver commemorative shows George Washington on horseback, and the reverse depicts the eastern facade of Mount Vernon as designed by Elizabeth Jones.
