Produced by the United States Mint in Philadelphia, this Silver Medal was struck in accordance with the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial Medal and Fire Service Bill of Rights Act from the same planchets used to produce the Silver American Eagle. This medal contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver. The obverse was designed by Thomas D. Rogers, and the reverse was designed by T. James Ferrell.
