The symbol of the dove has a long history, beginning with the story of Noah's Ark in which a dove returned with an olive branch signaling the flood had ended (Genesis 8:11). In the New Testament, the dove represents the peace of Jesus. With modern-day use in situations of conflict, the dove is a universal symbol of peace and a fitting subject for the Holy Land Mint's first Gold bar. The demensions of the box are 14.5 inches long, 8.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall.
