The obverse of this Gold Medal depicts a sad and pondering Leah with the mandrakes that her son Reuben brought her preceding the birth of her fifth son to Jacob, Issachar. This is the fourth and final medal in the "Mothers in the Bible" series. The reverse depicts the eternal flame which is a symbol of the continuity of Jewish women throughout history and up to the "Daughters of Jerusalem" today.
The medal is made of .583 fine Gold and weighs .320 oz. This beautiful medal comes in the original box with the certificate of authenticity from the Holy Land Mint.
