This .925 silver proof was struck in 2011 to celebrate the 2012 Chinese Year of the Dragon. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In a semicircular inscription: Elizabeth II Niue Island and below is the nominal value and the year of issue. The reverse has images of a flying fairy tale dragon and a knight, depicted in a pad printing technique. In the background, an image of a castle located on the top of a mountain. On the right side is a Chinese logogram meaning "Year of the Dragon" and at the bottom of the coin is the inscription: 2012 Year of the Dragon. Comes in a festive package with certificate of authenticity on the inside front of package.
