This 2010 .925 fine Silver partially colored coin really smells of sea breeze. Rub the wave and you can literally smell the fragrance of an ocean breeze. Surfing has been known for over 4,000 years. For the natives of Hawaii surfing is not only a sport, it is a cultural and spiritual feature in society. The Hawaiian word for surfing is Nalu and means glide to the shore on a wave or "to find oneself". The obverse has the phrase "onolisicious" which is a surfer slang term and comes from the Hawaiian word "ono" (delightful, groove).
The reverse features the coat of arms of Palau and the face value of $5. Each Silver coin includes a certificate of authenticity from the Republic of Palau.
