Product Description

Mintage of 10,000 coins!
This is only the second year that Hercules has been featured on a French circulating coin containing Precious Metals. Augstin Dupre created this design in 1795. He also engraved the Libertas Americana Medal. This is the first time that Proof versions of these coins have been offered. Struck in 50 percent Silver, this 10 euro coin features a stylized Hercules joining Liberty and Equality, surrounded by France's motto: LIBERTY, EQUALITY, and FRATERNITY. The reverse features the denomination with two branches: bay and oak leaves placed to echo the euro symbol.

Comments about 2012 10 Euro Silver Proof - Hercules:

The quality and the detail put into this coin is superb. The presentation case and air-tight holder that is included makes this set neat and very attractive. This may not be a good silver investment coin, but it definitely is a great numismatic coin. And the mintage of only 10,000 makes it even more attractive too.
