Issued by the Kingdom of Sardinia before the unification of Italy in the 1860s, the obverse of this gold coin depicts either Carlo Alberto or Vittorio Emmanuel II. These 20 Lire Gold coins contain .1867 oz actual Gold weight. These nice pieces of 19th century pre-Italian history coins are not seen nearly as often as their Italian couterparts. Dates range from 1831 to 1861 of our choice.
