Save on this uncommon German commemorative!
Germany, still under the authority of the Weimar Republic, issued these Silver coins in 1932 to commemorate the centennial of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's death. A left facing bust of the famous German writer, artist and politician, along with his surname, are all that occupies the reverse of this popular Silver 3 reichsmark. The obverse shows an eagle surrounded by the date, legend and denomination. Total Silver content of this piece is .2411 oz. Examples may be cleaned, but have strong Extra Fine to AU details. Due to their low mintages, these coins typically sell for $100 or more in these grades. Listed in Krause as KM# 76.
