Product Description

Mintage of only 2,000 coins!
This .999 fine Silver antique finish coin is part of the "Heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812" series. Mikhail Kutuzov was one of the finest military officers and diplomats of Russia. He showed how brilliant he was as a leader during the French invasion of Russia. Under Kutuzov's command, the Russian army stopped the Grande Armee at the Battle of Borodino and then counter-attacked, pushing the French out of the Russian homeland. A memorial was built in Moscow in 1973 to commemorate the war and Kutuzov's leadership. On the reverse is the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II.

This wonderful Russian market coin comes to you in original capsule and certificate of authenticity.

Comments about Cook Islands 2010 $5 War of 1812 - Mikhail Kutuzov:

This coin is actually much more exquisite than the picture can possibly give the impression of.

The details of the sculpted artwork is rich and the minting of higher relief than many other much higher priced coins I own.

After purchasing this terrific coin I learned about the very fascinating history of the War of 1812 which this coin commemorates...and rightfully so.

As an investment, you can be rest assured that the very limited mintage plus the fact that this coin's high quality minting means that the value will increase more than other similar coins.
