This is a beautiful, partially colored, .925 fine Proof Silver bar dedicated to the Monasteries of Armenia. Gndevank is a medieval monastic complex located on the left bank of the Arpa River, to the west of Gndevank village of Vayots Dzor province. The monastery was originally built in 931 and restored between 1965 and 1969. The fresco of the Holy Mother of God is depicted on the wall of the northern sacristy and is one of the masterpieces of Armenian late medieval art. On the obverse is the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia along with the value of "1000 Dram".
