In the center, slightly to the right, there are two heads in profile, one of a Spaniard with a helmet and mail, and one of an indigenous woman with a plume. In the left-hand field is the Mexican Mint, Casa de Moneda de México, in the form of a semi-circle, all together, cactus plants and stalks of wheat, in the middle of the upper field and in a semi-circle the words: “FUSIÓN CULTURAL" (CULTURAL FUSION), and below them the mint year; in the exergue are the words: "1.25 g DE ORO PURO LEY 0.750" (1.25 g OF PURE GOLD, FINENESS 0.750). In the middle of the obverse side of these coins is the National Emblem in sculptured relief and above it, in the form of a semi- circle the words "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (UNITED MEXICAN STATES). The edge is smooth.
