In the lower field three Spanish coins, cacao fruit, in the lower field on the right the Mexican Mint, la Casa de Moneda de México, in the upper left-hand field the mint year; in the exergue the text "1.25 g DE ORO PURO LEY 0.750" (1.25 g OF PURE GOLD, FINENESS 0.750). In the middle of the obverse side of these coins is the National Emblem in sculptured relief and above it, in the form of a semi- circle the words "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (UNITED MEXICAN STATES).
