Also includes the special edition silver dollar commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 in Silver. The reverse of the coin shows a superimposed map of Upper and Lower Canada in the Eastern Great Lakes region, three soldiers (a sergeant in the British regular army, a Native American Iroquois warrior brave, and a Voltigeur Canadien, or infantryman ), all in historically accurate uniforms, guarding the border with unity of purpose to defend the colonies they represent. The dual date 1812-2012 commemorates the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. The obverse shows Susanna Blunt's version of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This Proof set is sure to be popular with collectors. It comes packaged in the original display box of issue. The included numbered certificate of authenticity tells the history of the War of 1812 and the effect it had on Canada.
