In 1996, Canada began replacing its paper $2 note with a circulating coin. One of the collector versions of this coin was a Proof Gold & Silver bimetal coin consisting of a core of .9167 Gold composition, and an outer ring of silver. This 1996 coin has the design of a Polar Bear family and the word "Knowledge" in English and French. This coin has been graded a near perfect 69 Ultra Cameo by NGC.
