The third release in the Perth Mint's Endangered and Extinct series, this 2013 Proof Silver coin features a colorized Tasmanian Devil. The Ian Rank-Broadley likeness of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. This example has been graded a perfect 70, the highest grade possible, by NGC!

The Tasmanian Devil is known for it's loud screeches and bad temper. At around 15 pounds it is the largest carnivorous marsupial in the world and is found in the wild exclusively on the Australian island of Tasmania. Its large head and neck allow the Devil to generate one of the strongest bites per unit body mass of any living mammal! The population of the world's largest surviving marsupial carnivore is being ravaged Devil Facial Tumour Disease.
