This stunning 1 kilo (32.15 oz) Silver coin features a design of the Aztec Calendar Sun Stone on the reverse in spectacular detail. The Casa de Moneda de Mexico mint mark, Mo, is to the right, while on the left is the legal tender denomination of "$100" followed by the year of minting, 2012, and the legend "1 KG PLATA PURA LEY .999," which translates to "1 kilo pure Silver .999 fineness."
In the center of the obverse is a sculptural relief of the National Shield, encompassed by the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS," or "United Mexican States." Surrounding this are reproductions of different national coats of arms used throughout Mexico's history.
