$2 City of Leavenworth, KS (Almost Good)

The note you see here is the exact note you will receive.

Product Details

This is an elusive note issued by the the City of Leavenworth, Kansas in the amount of $2.00. Issued on May 16, 1871, it features a period vignette of a frontier family fighting off an Indian attack at right.

This obsolete issue from Kansas has seen lots of circulation, but considering the low paper quality that was used on these obsoletes, it is not too bad. With several holes and border clips, with a rust stain on the back, we will call this Almost Good.
