Mint error Sovereign! Rarely seen for sale!
This 2005 Gold sovereign has a redesigned version of Pistrucci's St. George on horseback preparing to slay the dragon on the reverse. However, it looks as though damage was done to St. George, as all details of his face have been obliterated by some foreign substance getting caught between the die and planchet, causing this strikethrough error. NGC has certified this coin as an MS-64. Listed is Krause as KM#1065.
