Containing 1 oz of pure Gold, this type 1 Liberian coin features a representation of one of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' patterns for the $20 Double Eagle with Liberty wearing an Indian headdress (that was eventually adopted for the $10 Eagle in 1907).
The reverse shows the eagle in flight that was eventually adopted for the $20 Gold Double Eagle Reverse. This beautiful Gold coin is graded Proof-69 by PCGS.
