The New 7 Wonders Foundation conducted a poll to select seven new wonders of the world. On July 7, 2007, out of 200 candidates and more than 100 million votes, the results were announced at a ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture. This white marble mausoleum is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is widely recognized as "the jewel" of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage.
