This fractional Silver thaler was issued by the German state of Saxony-Albertine on the occasion of the death of their ruler, Friedrich August I. The obverse has a left facing bust of August I while the date of his death is surrounded by a wreath on the reverse.
The Silver content of this coin is .0894 oz. This is a Very Fine plus example and shows great detail for its age. Only 48,000 were minted, which makes them hard to find! Listed in Krause as KM#1107.
