Series 1928 $500 Federal Reserve Notes are getting tougher to find! Get this one while it lasts!
This choice example from the Atlanta district, one of only 69,360 printed, is in crisp Almost Uncirculated condition. The only distractions are the weak corners, but they are not very noticeable. Still a very desirable note.
An interesting aspect of the Federal Reserve Notes from 1928 is that their redemption wording states, "Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the United States Treasury, or in Gold or Lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank." No Federal Reserve Note since 1928 has carried this redemption. The serial number is F00023064A. Friedberg#220-F.
