Early 19th century Ottoman Empire silver coin! Issued during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II, the silver content of this coin is .1435 of an ounce. The obverse depicts a toughra on the obverse, and calligraphy on the reverse--artistic, and intricate design! Although it has environmental damage, old silver coins from the Ottoman Empire, are seldom seen this nice. Graded by NGC as Very Fine details. KM#560.
