Uncommon triangular coin!
Here is another new and different coin issued by the Isle of Man! In 2009, the small dependency of Great Britain issued a series of coins to celebrate the return of the King Tut exhibit to London for the first time since 1972.
This example is a 1/5 oz Gold crown struck by the Pobjoy Mint in the shape of a triangle. A variety of heiroglyphs appear on the obverse surrounding a likeness of King Tut. The reverse features a right facing image of Queen Elizabeth II. A highly sought after coin with interesting subject matter! This example has been graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo by NGC.
