Dahlonega Gold! Extemely rare in grades above AU-55, this 1852-D Type 1 Gold Dollar is graded AU-58 by NGC and has met the strict standards of CAC. This coin is sharply struck with a very nice color and luster still remaining! 24 coins have graded higher through NGC, with the finest being 3 MS-63 examples. CAC reports that only 4 coins in this grade (AU-58) have met their standards with only 1 finer, an MS-61. This is a rare coin that is new to the marketplace with a small mintage of only 6360!
