Product Description

New Zealand Mint is proud to issue the Birds of Prey 1 oz Silver coin series. Each of the coins within the series celebrates the beauty and power of these magnificent creatures. The reverse dynamically captures a Bald Eagle with its wings and talons outstretched to grasp its prey in full color swooping upon a Rabbit . Set against a finely engraved forest background covered in snow, this is where the American Bald Eagle is in its element. The obverse features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is issued by New Zealand Mint as legal tender, under the authority of Niue Island. The coin is presented in an attractive wooden case with removable insert. Insert can be positioned so the coin is displayed upright.

Comments about 2013 1 oz Silver Niue Birds of Prey - American Bald Eagle:

5 Stars, this is a sure winner. Stunning coin, low mintage, great subject matter. Get them while you can as these will no doubt rise in value. Raptors have, and always will be, a favorite subject matter for nature lovers and bird lovers. Just ordered the Osprey and Great Horned Owl to complete the trio!
