15th Century French Gold!
This Gold Ecu d'Or was struck during the reign of Charles VIII, monarch of the House of Valois. He was King of France from 1483 until his death in 1498.
Approximate specifications of this coin are 26mm and 3.4g. The coin's obverse depicts the crowned arms of France and the reverse shows a floreate cross in a quadrilobe. French gold from this era is seldom offered for sale, so get it while it lasts! This example has been graded Very Fine 35 by NGC.
