The Canadian Wood Bison coin is the sixth & final coin released in the Royal Canadian Mint's three year long "Canadian Wildlife Coin Series" program, which has seen widespread popularity since its first release in 2011. The obverse of the Silver Wood Bison coin bears the Susanna Blunt designed likeness of Queen Elizabeth II with a $5 CAN face value. The reverse shows the massive bison walking through a shallow body of water with the woods behind him.
