This gold 20 Piastres was the smallest denomination issued as part of a four coin series that was struck to celebrate the wedding of King Farouk of Egypt to Queen Farida. A left facing uniformed bust of Farouk is depicted on the obverse of this coin, which contains .0478 of an oz. of Gold. NGC has certified this as Mint State 65. This coin had a limited mintage of 20,000, and Mint State examples are rarely available for sale! Listed in Krause as KM#370.
