Certified 19th century gold from Colombia!
Gold content of this Spanish colonial issue is .7615 of an ounce. Struck at the Cartagena Mint in what was to become Colombia, this 8 Escudo depicts King Ferdinand VII of Spain on the obverse. Crowned arms within the chain of the Order of the Fleece appear on the reverse. A nice early 19th century gold coin graded Almost Uncirculated 55 by PCGS. KM#66.1.
