Ottoman Empire Copper Mangir AH1099/1687

Ottoman Empire Copper Mangir AH1099/1687

Product Details

This copper coin was produced by the Ottoman Empire (the heart of which is now modern day Turkey) as a necessity after long periods of war left the empire short of precious metals.
Struck during the reign of Suleiman II at the Constantinople Mint, this coin incorporates the Tughra as part of its design which would be used on many Ottoman & Turkish coins thereafter.
This copper Mangir comes housed in a deluxed folder with an in depth history of the era and a COA. KM#87.2.
