Product Description

Here's a nice series 1928 $500 FRN from the Chicago district with Light Green Seal. Serial Number G000176733A. Looks Extra Fine at first glance, but has two pinholes above the portrait and just a few too many wrinkles, so we are calling it Very Fine plus. Attractively housed in a Capital plastics deluxe currency holder.

An interesting aspect of the Federal Reserve Notes from 1928 is that their redemption wording states, "Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the United States Treasury, or in Gold or Lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank." No Federal Reserve Note since 1928 has carried this redemption. Friedberg #2200-G. Comes housed in a Capital plastics deluxe currency holder.
