Byzantine Empire Gold!
Previously known as the Eastern Roman Empire, this gold coin was struck during the reign of the emperor Zeno (474 - 491 AD). This coin, the Tremissis, was worth one-third of a Solidus, and is approximately (15mm, 1.5g).
Obverse: D N ZENO PERP AVG, diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
Reverse: Victory std. holding long cross. VICTORIA AGGG B CONOB in ex.

Graded Choice AU by NGC. Notated for being wrinkled. A nice early Byzantine gold coin struck during the end of the Roman Empire in the West.
